Lesson 2: Textures

What is texture? It is what your hand feels if you run it over a surface. It can be smooth or rough, sometimes you can even feel patterns sticking out.



For our first project we made texture shadings by rubbing over a pattern with our pencil or colour pencil. Here're some of the best works across the entire Sec 1 level. You can click on them to enlarge and see the details.

One thing you would notice is that all these works are neat. I remind you again to have patience and put effort into creating a tidy masterpiece. Why let messiness spoil a perfectly good drawing? :)
