Hi guys,
Sorry for slow update. I've been busy getting the baby's room and stuff ready.
Time really flies... Only 3 more weeks to baby's arrival! I can now feel the baby kicking and punching, and bumps will appear on my tummy, like in the Little Nonya advertisement on Channel 8 ;)
At my last checkup, the baby is weighing 2.6kg and already in position, all ready to be born. My tummy is now like a huge watermelon, very heavy. And my belly button has popped out! Here's a photo to gross you out.

Biology lesson:
=========
The vertical line running down my tummy is called the 'linea nigra'. All girls have it, but it only darkens when they are pregnant. No one has any idea what it is useful for!
I also have many stretchmarks underneath my tummy. The skin suddenly expands too much when the baby grows, resulting in tearing on its surface. But all these marks are supposed to fade away after the baby is out.

So please be kind and considerate to any pregnant teachers in Nan Chiau. It is really very tiring to be carrying the tummy around, especially when they have to stand the whole day during lessons.
With H1N1 here, pregnant women are also at very high risk of infection because they have lower immunity. I'm sure any pregnant teacher will be very worried for her baby's health, as well as her own. Did you know that at least 6 pregnant women in USA have already died from H1N1?
So please remember to wash your hands properly! Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough. And boys, no digging of your nose during class! ;)
I'll post again when the baby is out.Labels: nag, update
